For the Father: "Time to spread the Master's tendrils through Tatlankel, we must begin our influence upon the Bekkar in haste, speak with Princess, follow her lead.”

From the Father: "Our Master's reach is unlimited!  Moswen and Ciauza attend First Servant most nights.  Your girl is in contact but aloof.  I do not trust her."

For Princess: "Heirophant ill, Bekkar likely called upon to take position, send me all you have learned. Speak with Father, need Bekkar in our palm, good luck."

From Princess: "Another girl added to First Servant's entourage.  Debauchery still discrete.  Nebwenenef thinks he's getting old, and is taking most of his duties.  I'll be envoy!"

Sending
messages from Kasumi to various individuals over the course of the journey through the Sethrum River to Topaz.

To Serevey: “Met a dragon. He wanted literature, so I gave him your book. We found more potential, under Zeel. It dispersed. Did you feel it?”

From Serevey: “Like a pufferfish deflating!  So exciting, darling!  I may write another book about the cycles of such things.  That will annoy all the right people.”

To Hozysh: “Hey! You doing magic yet? Kasimir left, went back to Ireneuszki instead of Keltokel. We need to meet again soon, I have things to share.”

From Hozysh: “Bring back Bogumila so I can zap her.  I’ll tell the King, he misses his old accomplice.  Learning a lot.  Half real, half con-artist.”

Kasumi somehow slept for 18 hours and didn’t manage any sending.

To Princess: “Dreamed about you. Been a crazy few months. How are you and Kasmut? Lamina’s taking us to Jade and is mad at me, I think.”

From Princess: “Kasmut got in trouble, wasted expensive gold and black inks painting giant scribble. Heard from Lamina, she has plans about Hierophant and First Servant Bekkar.”

To Maut: “Good morning, sorry if I woke you. We met the Suzerain. What do you know about him? I had a feeling. Hoping Ameryswald is safe.”

From Maut: No answer.

To Fryderyk: “Confession: in Beryl, I broke into Belligedor headquarters and read documents about the Princess’ contract. What’ve you seen? They’re carrying out a plan B now.”

From Fryderyk: “I’m spying too.  This Pastor passenger is supposed to unleash a plague from Polto in one of the Factory Cities.  Rumor says the Marchioness lives.”

To Jhangmu: “It’s Kasumi! Didn’t see you in Tatlankel, did you travel? Sixth Eferu was too busy with Lamina to chat with me. Hope you’re doing well!”

From Jhangmu: “Traveling to Pearl for Bettara.  That bodes ill, I’d hoped he’d be taken with you.  Still, you did well in Tatlankel.  I’m in good health."

To Wong Tao: “Really? Mejten? You know he kinda has it out for us, right? If we cross paths and we’re not friends, I’m not gonna hold back.”

From Wong Tao: “Clever, doubling back,
Our net was empty in Zeel,
Next time, lovely girl!
This spell grants twenty five words total and so here they are.”

To Remonoutier: “Does this reach you? Did the Seat change when we left? The world up here has changed. Wish we could’ve helped, your afterlife is… uneventful.”

From Remonoutier: “Necromantic energies weakened.  Seat seems smaller and quieter.  Treasure the book, run our talks over in my head many times.  Very sleepy now.”

To Princess: “By the way, we entered the tomb of Zeel and spoke with Dynasts of old, including Chefren and Ra-Sebek-Nefru. Gotta tell you more in person.”

From Princess: “Chefren the Bloody?  Really?  Have you heard from grandmother?  Her last letter was in Late Dolina but was normal.  Roads should be open, I’m worried.”

To Kuroihire Kaori: “Gonna be in Jade soon. I’ll investigate routes south, maybe someone’s sailing to Widpool… if my friends are OK with detour. Love you, take care!”

From Kuroihire Kaori: “Too avant garde but see what colors are in style.  If you’re not sick of travel you can come on a selling trip to Dove.”
