PM 10:40 - Stwd-in-Training Biron delivered guest for engine cab inspection.  Asst. Stoker Kahtee assigned sleep period.  Engine adjusted to 90% steam.  Tracks clear.  Heavy snowfall.  Guest sang about caravan life.  Guest returned to coach car under own guidance. -F

AM 5:00 - Engine 90%.  Tracks light snow.  Clear sky.  Cleared lamps before dawn.  Fryddy’s guest was a queer one, didn’t smell like fish.  Never saw an apkallu close and now there’s two on board.  -K. Cayliss

AM 6:10 - Engine 75%.  Tracks light snow.  Clear sky.  Brief application of brakes due to too much speed in bend.  Fryddy’s right, cerednite engine too much for short load.  The Lady wanted fast.  -K. Cayliss

AM 7:00 - Engine 80%.  Tracks clear.  Clear sky.  Biron delivered breakfast, had to use roof, empty cargo car closed off by the Lady’s apkallu monk.  Says Fryddy is awake, moping in hammock.  The Lady’s entourage is bothering the other sleeper car passenger, a tylwyth!  This is a strange run but it’s charter, mum says the Lady’s gold is good.  -K. AM 9:00 - Engine maintaining 75%.  Tracks clear.  No weather, no melt.  Corrected shift mechanical checks, secondary pressure maintenance valves mis-aligned.  Instructed Asst. Stoker Kahtee on valve setting.  Engine rigged for halt at Rew’s Summit.  -F

AM 9:50 - Engine banked to 25%.  Brakes applied for halt at Rew’s Summit and drive bypass set.  Railheads moderate snow, advised station-keeper.  Cerednite supply 70%.  No weather, no melt.  -F

AM 11:00 - Engine stoked to 80%.  Halt inspection performed, moderate rail wheel wear.  Kasumi Guest provided meal purchased at Summit.  Arranged for guest inspection of engine cab during Keltokel approach.  Drive bypass disengaged.  Drive raced on initial engagement due to caravan short load.  Departed Rew’s Summit.  Tracks clear.  No weather, no melt.  -F
